Bio-medical Waste Management for Gulbarga City

 Enabled planning and installation of equipment to be eventually run by and for the medical fraternity with scope of amalgamating neighbouring districts in this futuristic venture. Key initiatives included upscaling the range of waste disposal equipment as per changing prescriptions given by Central PCB and brought about a mindset in paying usage charges required to own and meet recurrent costs.
Objectives
 
bullet Setup on and off site treatment and disposal of biomedical waste in coordination with Health care establishments in Gulbarga city
bullet Device and prepare HEWMEP strategy manual, education material and sensitize health care establishment staff
bullet Enable biomedical waste management system
bullet Prepare final prototype for biomedical waste disposal including defining transport logistics
bullet Liaise with health care establishments to ensure user charges sustain post-project activities
